Quick create case and deal tasks

Hi there!

those of you who are using the Add Task modal dialog a lot, rejoice!

As you may already know, the Add Task modal dialog is a handy dialog you can reach anytime by clicking on the little task icon near the timers (bottom left on the screen).

This modal dialog can be used to quickly create a task on any project or contact you have access to.

What's new in your Apollo this summer: comment form at top, translation extras, HTML in project description, clear formatting

Hi there,

Apollo's development is very much user-driven. This implies that quite a few users will find here features they requested a little while ago. Here are some of the features that recently made it into Apollo?

Comment box at the top when comments are shown in reverse order

We were asked to show task comments in reverse chronological order: it was important to show fresher comments closer to the top of the page (and to the task description itself). We then realised that when showing comments this way, it made a lot more sense having the comment form at the top.

Featureful, user friendly software isn't impossible. It's just hard.

This is one of those blog entries that should have an empty body, because the title should say it all. To me, it's like people spending (or wasting) million of dollars in clinical studies aimed at proving the absolute obvious: smoking kills; exercise is good for you; a good posture helps with back pain; and so on. Yet again a new Apollo: redesigned overview and Capsule import

Hi there,

Many of our users today noticed that we have deployed a new version of Apollo. Sometimes, new versions are rolled out without our users even noticing. This time it's different: we have released some major improvements. First of all, Apollo now has a new overview:

We listened very carefully to our users, while shaping the overview. The old overview had several shortcoming, and we believe we addressed most of them here.

News on Apollo's development

After six months of being public (and six months of frenetic development, may I say), I think it's about time to talk about Apollo, its development, and how it's coming along.

It's very strange for me to think about the way Apollo was six months ago: we have been adding countless important features since we went live (cases & deals, group emails, etc.), and continue developing more and more important parts today.

Why we will nag Apollo users on IE7 and IE8... forever

A few users pointed out that they are getting a strange warning: if they use something “quite recent” like Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, when they log into Apollo they get a big warning telling them to upgrade to a better and faster browser.

It reads like this:

You are using Internet Explorer 8. While we do support it, you will miss out on a few graphical goodies, and A LOT of speed.
