Sort options in My Tasks, Gravatar in HTTPS, API now allows creating projects from templates

Three minor features landed on Apollo in the last few weeks: they are not game changers by any means, but they do improve our beloved program.

The first one, is the possibility to order your tasks by project + task name, and by project + task due date in the My Tasks section:

More features: quietly create projects from templates, log time on closed tasks, create private elements by default

We are working hard on improving Apollo more and more. We will make some big announcements in the coming weeks. However, we realise that our users are feature-thirsty, and also work on smaller improvements that will tend to make your life easier -- and more fun. Let's see what they are.

Create a project from a template, without adding entries in the activity

A lot of people have very active workspaces. When a project is created using a template, the activity log gets suddenly filled up with a lot of entries.

Project templates with Apollo

Project templates was one of the most requested features in Apollo (up there with iCal support and reply-by-email). Well, I am very proud to announce that Apollo now has project templates. I was having a discussion with Andrea a few weeks ago, about project templates. I said something along the lines of "Well, it's pretty straightforward right? I mean, a template is just like a normal project, yes?" Andrea answered instantaneously: "What about task's deadlines that need to be different? And the activity log that needs to be generated? And the Files section that doesn't apply? And the --". I interrupted him: he was right. Project templates were tricky at best. Well, ladies and gentlemen: here they are, project templates in Apollo! Task list templates in Apollo!

Hi there,

We released Apollo a couple of days ago... and we are already busy releasing new important features!

One of them is task list templates, which are now available in Apollo. This is great news for all those users with set processes in place, and who have a set of tasks they complete in every project.

To create a task list template simply go open up your project: in the dashboard, you will see the "Templates" menu, which allows you to create task list templates you can reuse across your projects.

For example, if you are planning on starting a house building business, you might end up with a template like this:
